Highlights:

The CII Seminar on "Rising to the Challenge of Globalization through the People CMM", with QAI as the knowledge partner, saw a good participation from companies in various industries, ranging from Manufacturing to IT and BPO.

Inaugurated by Ms. Uma Ganesh, Chairperson, IT Panel, CII Pune, the seminar had speakers such as Asha Naik from TATA Technologies and Shrinivas Sastry from Covansys, who shared their insights into the People CMM implementation in their organizations. Dr. Gargi Keeni gave a lucid overview of the People CMM framework and its alignment with Business Excellence. Presentations from AVK Mohan, Senthil Kumar and MVN Rao kept the audience keenly involved through the one-day proceeding. In response to the urge for more, Ajay Batra from QAI gave a splendid presentation on "Is that all you are getting from the People CMM?", urging the audience to analyze the true 'impact' of the People CMM. (His speech was also interspersed with anecdotes on the correlation between car owners and the color of their car !!)

QAI, as knowledge partner, shared a white paper on the People CMM with the delegates.

The Seminar provided a platform to network and exchange ideas on:

• People CMM and HR best practices
• Capability Management
• Application of the People CMM in the education sector
• The implications of the maturity model on the individual, HR, the business and the customer
• Impact of the People CMM on an organization's innovation, leadership and strategy

• Strategy v/s Performance ethic

The level of satisfaction in the audience was high as indicated by the fact that most of them asked for details of the next seminar.
