Avinash Sankholkar
Avinash, Head of Information Technology and Research & Development of the E&C division is a Chemical Engineering Graduate from IIT, Mumbai.
He has experience in Design, Engineering, Commissioning & Project Management of over 20 different Chemical Plants in India & abroad. He has successfully completed Projects for Chemical Industry Leaders like Petronas Malaysia, Foster Wheeler UK, and Bharat Petroleum, GSFC, Linde, Reliance & UOP. Equipped with extensive E&C domain knowledge he moved into a leadership role in IT in 2000.
He has presented papers on IT enabled Project Management, Knowledge Management & eCommerce at various conferences.
He also devotes time to the development & modernisation of Chemical Engineering Education and is on the advisory boards of NM Institute of Management Studies & the Bombay University. He is also on the Expert Advisory Panel of the CIO Workshop which meets in Brussels , Belgium to discuss IT issues faced by global E&C players.
