| Mobile Phone Application development is growing and fast moving industry, many companies have moved or moving from PC application development to wireless applications development, bringing ideas and solution to a new platform. However to keep up with the advance in fast moving mobile industry, mobile phone application developing companies and internal IT departments must develop, test and release new mobile applications more rapidly than ever. Strategic approaches for developing and testing these applications should take into account number of characteristics unique to the mobile phone such as the increased complexity of the emerging mobile devices, limited processing power, limited memory, improper user interface, limited set of features, finite energy resources, and inheritance limitation of the wireless medium. This paper discusses testing strategies for mobile phone applications and how to use the existing testing techniques and methodologies to test the applications running on the mobile phone.
