Effective
Software Estimation is one of the most challenging and important
activities in software development.
Proper project planning and control is not possible without
a sound and reliable estimate. As a whole, the software industry
doesn’t estimate projects well and doesn’t use
estimates appropriately. We suffer far more than we should
as a result and we need to focus some effort on improving
the situation.
The Software
Estimation Colloquium (SEC 2006) organized by QAI was created
as a unique forum for exchanging, learning, and
accelerating implementation of best practices in the domain
of Software Estimation.
The purpose
of SEC 2006 is to promote the existence, implementation, and
importance of the required essentials for achieving market
leadership and performance excellence for the project and
the organization, with a focus on the estimation practices.
SEC 2006,
the premier software engineering conference aims to exhibit,
showcase, provide information on how organizations are improving
their project management practices, including practices, metrics,
methods, techniques. In this direction, SEC 2006 brings together
practitioners and thought leaders from industry, academia
and government for sharing, exchanging ideas and learning
in the area of Software Estimation. |
