Product testing plays a vital role in developing a quality product. System testing is one of the last phases and is almost always in the critical path of any product development life cycle. It is very important for test engineers to be efficient in order to do quality testing within an optimal duration. This efficiency and quality can be achieved by innovating and adopting best practices during system testing. The tutor will share some of the best practices adopted by System Test Engineering group at Novell Bangalore, during different phases of system test, i.e.Study/Training, Gathering test requirements, Development of test plan and strategy, Test Case design, Automation, Test Lab Setup, Test Execution, Test Reporting/Documentation, Involvement in decision making for the product release, Post release activities, Self development.

Shivageeta is working as a Senior Software test engineer at Novell®, India. She started her career as test engineer and is passionate about testing technologies. She has more than 5 and half years of experience in planning, strategizing, designing, automating and executing tests.
