Managing and Automating the Application Development Life Cycle
Manavjeet Singh, Rajeev Sanam, Mercury

In order to deploy your application with confidence, what actions do you need to take to ensure consistent high quality releases on time and within budget? This session will explore the main challenges we face from Day One of the project, until production accepts responsibility of the newly released application. The session will have three parts: Quality Management – the whole quality lifecycle from requirement through test planning and execution, up to performance management and taking an informed going live decision; Functional testing and test automation – what are the processes required in test automation in order to achieve higher quality in less time? This session will also discuss how to expand the scope of test automation from merely testing the application to automating the testing environment; the last part, Performance testing – will provide a deeper understanding of the complete performance management lifecycle and how to leverage our performance testing efforts into production, and guarantee smooth transition when going live.
