brings SEPGSM conference to Asia

QAI and Software Engineering Institute are co-organizing the
fourth Software Engineering and Process Group Conference, for the
first time in Asia and will visit five countries including India.
Starting in Bangalore on march 1, the conference will address the
issues of the Indian IT industry and showcase India’s leadership
in software engineering and management.
BANGALORE: QAI and Software
Engineering Institute (SEISM), Carnegie Mellon University, USA is
co-organizing the fourth Software Engineering and Process Group
(SEPGSM) Conference. For the first time the conference is being
brought to Asia visiting five countries, India, Thailand, Australia,
Singapore and China.
The conference starts from Bangalore
on March 1, 2002. A media statement mentioned that the concept of
tour comes from the need to share best practices and papers across
Asia Pacific and mutually benefit from the rich software experience
of Asia Pacific academia, industry and government.

Mohnot said, "Software is the Process, and in the new
millennium, processes will need to respond to the demands of
enabling delivery in Internet Time. If so, the importance of an
annual conference on software process improvement cannot be
overstated".
The SEPGSM " Best of Best"
Award jury will be headed by Mark Paulk, SEISM, CMU, USA. The
Conferences’ high point is the handing out of Best Paper and Best
Practice award. The profile of the professionals attending the
sessions represent the best software companies in the Asia Pacific
region, a cross section including CEOs, CIOs and CTOs, Project
Manager, Process Group Members, Testers and others.
The
