NEW DELHI: QAI, an IT
consulting company, is holding the 3rd International Software
Testing Conference at Taj Residency, Bangalore, on November 23-24,
2001. The conference is about how to improve quality and
productivity to increase competitiveness and take advantage of the
slack to provide training to software engineers on quality assurance
practices. The conference will provide opportunities for updating
skills, both for the beginners and the veterans.
Dr Richard Zultner, the testing guru
who will be the keynote speaker will speak on "Why Test?
Improving the System of Software Development". Srini Koppulu,
the managing director of Microsoft India Development Center will
speak on Microsoft’s .Net platform. Dignitaries from leading
organizations like Rational, RelQ and from educational institutes
like IIT-Chennai would be present at conference.
There are more than 150 Author Intent
forms received for the software testing conference. To recognize the
leadership in testing, QAI is announcing the Testing
Leadership Award for the Best Submission.
"Testing
is an important contributor wherever quality has taken roots. It has
long been relied upon as a confidence building measure in the
development and maintenance of software systems. Despite its long
innings in the field of software engineering, the question of
adequate testing has remained inadequately answered. The ever
increasing complexity of systems, proliferation of development
environments and the fast pace of introduction of new technologies
have only added pressure on testing to match up to
expectations," says Navyug Mohnot, executive director, QAI.
