It gives me immense pleasure to invite you to the 5th SEPGSM
Conference. As always, the Conference brings an opportunity for
the process improvement and quality community to get together
and deliberate the challenges ahead.
I am happy to announce that QAI has instituted an award with the
Computer Society of India to promote leadership in business excellence.
The coveted Best Paper and Best Practice Awards remain, for which
there has been a larger than ever before number of submissions.
With a newer focus, new themes, and a new city I hope that the
SEPGSM Conference will be as useful as it has always
been.

Striving toward a knowledge base economy means directing our human
intellectual capital and resources to innovation & technological
advances in all industries. This push must be clearly balanced
with dedication to quality and commitment to process improvement.
To this end, the CMMI® gives organizations a model in which
measurable improvement in the control, predictability and effectiveness
of the processes can be attained whether in manufacturing, outsourcing,
logistics, healthcare, or ICT. With these best and essential practices
in the engineering systems & software disciplines, it will
generate a heightened quality in our products and, once again,
ingrain the quality culture in our people in the execution of
our processes.
