Group will discuss IDEO case study facilitated by the faculty. The case explores how to build an innovation culture in your organization.

Assessing innovation culture of an organization

Mini teams to ideate on how to build an innovation culture within your organization.

They will present their idea and a group discussion will take place.

Innovator’s mindset

What stops and what aids a human being from innovating?

Non-negotiable innovative mindsets that enable innovations to happen.

Specific examples of innovators will be given and through the presentation a facilitated discussion will lead people to understand what mindsets they must possess to become an innovator.

Test your Innovativeness

Individual test

Using a QAI proprietary tool developed in consultation with a behavioral psychologist, each participant will assess his or her own innovativeness on eight dimensions of mindsets required to be an innovator. The results will be announced by the end of the day.

Create a plan

Mini team breakout work, Working lunch

Mini teams to break out to complete the Innovation Plan. Mini Teams will examine the assumptions they’ve made during the previous day’s work of theirs, identify methods for taking them forward.

Mini team leaders to capture input in a presentation format.

Teams should prepare a summary report that includes the major assumptions made, 3-5 ideas that are worth taking forward from their work.

IDEIN Innovation methodology

Presentation

Life cycle of an innovation methodology, tailoring guidelines, how to develop your own methodology out of it, Prototyping of your ideas to present it to users, its principles and using technology for the same.

     

Refine plan

Mini teams to refine their plan to incorporate action items learnt from IDEIN methodology.
