Workshop Overview

THE MEANING OF OUR COMMUNICATION IS THE RESPONSE WE GET!

How often do we realize that there are serious gaps in the assessment and scoping of a Project because our interpretation of what the client wanted was countered with ‘but that is not what we meant!” It is easy to assume that we share a common language, a common vehicle for communicating with each other. But once we learn to listen more closely, we can begin to concern ourselves in the many instances of ‘crossed wires’, misunderstandings, erroneous interpretation and false assumptions that we hear around us every day.

This one day high powered program for Seniors in the Project Management domain looks at the many angles of clear and meaningful communication between people, from making direct, unequivocal statements incapable of misinterpretation, through to the subtleties of persuasion, influence and mutually respectful interactions and questioning skills.

This course shows how ‘we cannot, not communicate’ and yet we are able to choose the methods, including language, to get the best results we can.
